Connecting with Purpose: Our Experience at the Sydney Disability Connection Expo 2025

Disability Connection Expo-2025 Sydney

A Weekend of Conversations, Connections, and Community

The Sydney Disability Connection Expo 2025, held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on May 23–24, brought together thousands of people from across the disability sector — and we were proud to be a part of it.

As exhibitors, we had the opportunity to speak directly with individuals, families, and support coordinators, sharing more about the NDIS services we provide and learning about the unique support needs of our community. These genuine conversations were the heart of our experience.

Building Meaningful Moments with Visitors

Our team spent both days engaging in thoughtful conversations with attendees, answering questions, offering guidance, and listening to real stories. From individuals seeking Supported Independent Living (SIL) to families exploring options for Short-Term Accommodation (STA) or Community Support, our focus remained on one thing: person-centred connection.

To make our stall even more welcoming, we handed out small branded goodies — not just as giveaways but as conversation starters. These small gestures helped draw people in and fostered a friendly, open environment. Our booth quickly became a place where people could not only learn more but feel heard and understood.

Our Services at the Forefront

While we showcased a wide range of supports, six core NDIS services took centre stage throughout the expo:

Each conversation allowed us to guide participants through their options, explain eligibility, and highlight how we tailor each service to meet individual needs.

Whether it was discussing in-home support for someone seeking daily assistance, or offering information about community nursing, our goal was to simplify and humanise the process — turning confusion into clarity.

Standing Out Through Stories

Unlike traditional events, the Expo wasn’t just about brochures and banners. It was about people. One highlight was meeting a father seeking reliable SIL options for his adult son. After chatting with our team and exploring our service models, he left not only with answers but with hope and direction.

We also had the pleasure of reconnecting with familiar faces who had met us during previous expos in Brisbane and Melbourne. Hearing how their journeys had progressed was a reminder of why we do what we do.

More Than an Event – A Growing Movement

What makes the Disability Connection Expo series so impactful is its ability to bridge the gap between providers and participants. For us, it’s never just about showcasing our work — it’s about showing up for our community.

We left the ICC Sydney inspired, energised, and more committed than ever to providing high-quality disability support across Australia.

What’s Next?
